Clubflat in Australia & New Zealand 2009

Sydney was a mixed bag.  There's lots to do and it really is set up for the tourist, but the weather is as hit and miss as the UK.  When the sun does shine I'm sure it gives it a whole different feel, but 5 days of cloud and rain, which apparently also continued for days after we moved on to our next destination tells you it's not a permanent sunshine paradise!  However there is plenty to do and plenty of bars and restaurants.  After you finish laughing at how dirty the Opera House is in real life, climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge is a must.  A visit to Bondi beach was purely a token gesture due to the weather, and thank God because an hour after we left a surfer had his hand bitten off by a bull shark!  The day after a navy diver also had his hand bitten off in the harbour by another shark!  So stay out the water and instead get yourself on a boat trip around Sydney Harbour.  Also be sure to spend some time in Darling Harbour for some decent evenings consisting of beer and steak!

Catching an Ozzie train from The Hypnotist's in Terrigal was a

great way for the local culture to experience Clubflat!

The view opposite Darling harbour was awesome

The infamous Sydney Bridge shot

The opera house frontage was designed to look like women's genitalia

Someone had landed the Star Wars Millenium Falcon

in Darling Harbour! (Roll mouse over this pic)

Seagull's were half the size of those in the UK but twice as greedy

Clubflatting Australia was always the prime mission

Darling Harbour at night - no this pic isn't taken off a postcard

Our hotel lit up the Darling Harbour sky line

Clubflat harbour cruises ran daily

City views from the boat were great

Hero spies his company's Oz headquarters (white tower in middle)

perfectly located in Sydney for when he emigrates...

Taking a boat ride when the sun wasn't shining wasn't the best idea

Abbo's had been playing with Mum's make-up again

Climbing the bridge was fab, even if the sun had gone on holiday

The bridge guide did a good job not losing anyone over the side

A magical memento from the great man himself

An even better one from Little Britain!

Bondi beach in the 'supposed' summer!

One of these poor blighters got their hand chomped shortly after

All we wanted was a beer, but we had to join some local

RSL Surf Club in North Bondi just to get in...

...And wear this silly shirt from the lost property box

as sleeveless tops weren't allowed!

Quite possibly the biggest and best steak you will get for your money

Compliments from Clubflat

Our hotel had it's very own entrance to Darling Harbour!

You don't get pigeons in Ozzie McDonald's, you get these monsters!

Hero's own chocolate factory outside the hotel - a dream come true

The Ozzies red light district is well advertised

Practising for London 2012

The Opera House at night looked a little less dirty

They ran out of bulbs to light up the arc of the bridge

The Hypnotist mesmorise's the others into smiling

A slight bit of sun over Darling Harbour for once

Pirates of the Caribbean had arrived in Sydney

Now if only we had an air rifle

The manhunt was on for the planters of all the Clubflat cards
