Clubflats favourite haunt in Newquay was Belushi's.  Following a gentle start to the evening in The Fort, Belushi's would be where most of the night was spent before moving onto a nightclub.  Consequently, many cards and stickers found their way into this bar.  Set back from the road, this bar can easily be missed as you walk by, and thankfully it is by most of the Newquay mainstream revellers.  It's a great bar with a really relaxed atmosphere, plenty of surfer dudes and dudettes, good beer and has live bands.  Here the Clubflat Team quickly became acquainted with all the staff, from the doormen to the barmen and barmaids.  We even became acquainted with the manager, Jeremy, albeit by an email to inform us of his sticker removal issue.  "If you are going to print stickers, use a more user friendly adhesive so as to not tear posters and remove paintwork with your stickers".  Errr, sorry about that, the lads can get a bit carried away.  But we meant no harm and gave Belushi's a lot of business over the course of 4 days so it was all in good spirit.  Next year we'll just focus on stickering the staff!  And what a great bunch all the staff were.  All too eager to take part in the Clubflat antics, these are the sort of friendly staff every bar should have.  Even the door staff and manager were cool and not such jobsworths that they couldn't recognise a bit of fun for what it was.  Belushi's is Newquay's hidden gem in our opinion.  Located just down from The Fort in Fore Street as you head towards The Central, give it a try.  But if you're a meat head who likes to rough it up, don't bother.  This bar is for relaxed dudes and dudettes only.  See www.belushis.com/venues/newquay-bars for more info.
