The drive down from the Gold Coast back to The Hypnotist's in Terrigal is a great drive and at 10 hours, one to take leisurely. An overnight stop would usually be taken at Coffs Harbour or Port Macquarie. Having driven through both towns, Port Macquarie is definitely the better of the two. Once back in Terrigal near Sydney, it was time to go fame hunting at the beach used in Aussie soap Home and Away. Rather than take a long drive round to get to it, take the ferry from Ettalong. It's just a short drive away and only takes 25 minutes to get across as you relax and take in even more scenery. Home and Away is filmed on Palm Beach. No filming was there that day although we did see and overhear people from the studio discussing filming shots. However they may have actually been discussing where all the Clubflat cards came from.
